If you pass the online aptitude tests you will be invited to the interview process, which will consist of an HR interview and possibly a technical interview, depending on the role.

Infosys technical interview

The technical interview will assess your knowledge of C, C++, and Java programming languages. You want to ensure you have good knowledge of these three, as you will be asked technical questions about them. You may even be asked to solve a specific technical problem that you could face on the job.

The interviewers may also want you to elaborate on your resume and find out more about your areas of interest, and previous projects you’ve worked on.

To prepare for the technical interview, we recommend brushing up on your knowledge of C, C++, and Java, familiarising yourself with your resume, and ensuring you are knowledgeable with Infosys and its current activities, as well as the wider industry.

Infosys HR interview

The HR interview is intended to find out more about you and if you will be a good cultural fit for the company. This will be more like a traditional interview, where the interviewer will want to know more about your interests, goals, values, and reasons for applying.

The HR interview is also likely to consist of some competency-based questions. Examples of competency-based questions are:

  • Tell me about a time you led a team to success
  • Give me an example of when you handled conflict in the workplace
  • What will your ideas and skills bring to the company?

For competency-based questions, we recommend using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, and Result) technique. This ensures you provide well structured responses that are concise and relevant to the question.

You should also prepare some questions of your own before the interview. Not only does this provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the company and the role, but it shows you are keen about the position.
