Careers at FedEx

In-Person Interview
All positions are advertised on the FedEx careers page, where you can sort through the listings according to the location, company, and job category. Once you have found a position you are interested in, you can then submit an online application.
Should your application be successful, you may be invited to take part in a series of aptitude tests and/or personality questionnaires to assess your suitability for the role.
The next stage will be the interview process, typically consisting of a phone interview and an in-person interview.
The whole process typically takes around three to five weeks to complete.
Throughout the application process, FedEx looks for evidence that you have the strengths, skills, and competencies for the position. As there are such a wide range of positions available, the specific requirements will vary depending on what you are applying for, so it is a good idea to review the job description and keep that in mind.
FedEx online application
The application process begins with you submitting an online application for the vacancy you are interested in. You must upload a resume, which should be up-to-date with detailed information about your academic history and work experience. You should also make sure your resume is free from spelling and grammatical errors.
You want to make a strong initial impression with your resume, so if possible, tailor it to the role in question. Try to showcase how your skills, experience, and qualifications make you the ideal candidate for the position.
FedEx Aptitude Tests
If your application meets the criteria for the role, you may be invited to complete some online assessments. The specific assessments you face will depend on the role you are applying to, but the common tests used by FedEx include the Caliper personality test, Hogan personality inventory, a typing test, and an accounting test.
Caliper personality test
The Caliper personality test assesses a candidate’s motivations and characteristics by asking them a series of questions about their personality. There are several different types of questions; most will either come in a multiple-choice or true-false format.
This test consists of 180 multiple-choice questions, and for this reason, it is much longer than other personality tests, which typically take around 60 minutes to complete.
Hogan personality inventory
The Hogan personality inventory focuses on human interactions. Based on the Five-Factor Model, this assessment measures you on seven different scales to assess your ‘bright-side personality’, which is how you interact and relate to others.
This gives FedEx insight into how well you are likely to cooperate with others, whether you are a leader or follower, and how successful you will be in a team environment.
Comprising 206 true/false statements, the questionnaire typically takes between 15 and 20 minutes to complete.
Typing test
The typing test is used to assess the accuracy and speed at which you type. This will be used in the application process for roles that require you to be proficient at typing, such as in clerical and administrative positions.
Accounting test
The accounting test is typically reserved for corporate positions that require proficiency in accounting. This multiple-choice test assesses you on accounting problems, comparing and checking, coding, inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, accounting terms, and more.
