Careers at Boeing are available for both experienced professionals and students or recent graduates. For those just getting started, the Early Career options include 1,200 scholarships for students in partner universities, as well as 24 year rotational programs for graduates in Business, Engineering, Human Resources and Information Technology.

Boeing job roles are advertised online, and can be searched on Boeing’s website via keyword, job category and location. To start your application, you will need to create a profile through the job portal.
Online application
Once you have chosen your preferred role and created your profile, you’ll submit an online application form.
This comprises fields for your contact details including email, telephone number and location. You must also provide information about your education, skills, qualifications and experience.
When you add your resume, it’s important that you highlight the skills and competencies that are needed for the role (you can find this information in the job description).
Your application will be reviewed, and if you meet the basic criteria then you will be invited to the next stage of the process.
Boeing Aptitude Tests
The aptitude tests that Boeing uses are designed to provide a simple way to screen potential candidates based on their inherent knowledge and skills. The number of assessments you will be invited to take will depend on the role you have applied for.
You will be invited to complete these assessments via email, and they can be completed at home using an online platform.
Boeing situational judgement test
A situational judgement test is a scenario-based assessment that is designed to see how you make decisions or solve problems.
You will be presented with a series of realistic work-based situations that you might have to deal with in the role you have applied for. These will have several possible courses of action that could be taken, and you need to decide which would be the most appropriate, and which would be the least appropriate.
These particular situational judgement tests do not have right or wrong answers. Your answers are compared to a control group to see if you have the necessary critical thinking and decision-making skills to be successful in the role.
Boeing numerical reasoning test
Numerical reasoning tests are not math tests, although you will need to perform basic operations to solve the problems.
In the assessment, you will be provided with information in the form of numerical data in tables or graphs. There will be a question based on this information, and you will have to use basic mathematical knowledge to answer – this might mean multiplication or division, or percentages.
The answers are usually in a multiple-choice format, and while the questions are not difficult in content, the time pressure you are under to perform can make them a challenge. Numerical reasoning tests typically take around 30 minutes to complete.
Boeing mechanical reasoning test
The Ramsay mechanical aptitude test is considered to be one of the best assessments for roles like engineering, mechanics and production.
The presentation of the assessment is as a series of images or diagrams, based around physics concepts and mechanical knowledge. These include force, acceleration, electrical circuits, fluids, and gears.
There are 36 questions that you have to answer in 20 minutes, and you will have multiple-choice answers to help you make the right decision.
Boeing verbal reasoning test
For roles where communication is important, you might be asked to complete a verbal reasoning assessment. This is a test designed to see how well you can understand, process and make decisions based on information in text form.
Each question is based on a passage of text, usually about the business area that you have applied for. The language used is usually professional business speak, and there will be a question or statement that you must decide is true, false, or you cannot say based on the given information.
The key to success in a verbal reasoning testt is being able to quickly read and understand the information in the text, and picking out the key points that will help you answer the question. Verbal reasoning tests usually last about 30 minutes.
Boeing technical test
If you have applied for a role that requires particular skills or knowledge, you may be asked to demonstrate this through a technical test.
Sometimes these are known as skills tests, and you can find them in the recruitment process in programming, IT, and administration. They are short tests that determine whether you have the skills that you need to be successful in the role.
Sometimes these tests take place online, while for other roles you might complete them at an interview or an assessment centre.
